It isn't everyday I have the pleasure of walking the shores of South Beach, Miami. But I was in the area because I had come to attend the 2012 Miami/Basel Art Show at the convention center, near by. I found the show had a very diverse collection of art and took pictures of pieces that spoke to me. I want to share a few here.

Scattered among the new art there were some by the masters. I am especially fond of Chagall and will add a few.

I find his play with colors and the whimsy he sees as light hearted and joyful.
Flowers, the best gift!

This is a large, pieced together, cardboard canvas, and some of the picture is bare cardboard. Does this say something about our throw away age, and yet this style of art is classic?

Art as always shows us what is happening in culture, it is a statement that shows us who we have become.
