It isn't everyday I have the pleasure of walking the shores of South Beach, Miami. But I was in the area because I had come to attend the 2012 Miami/Basel Art Show at the convention center, near by. I found the show had a very diverse collection of art and took pictures of pieces that spoke to me. I want to share a few here.
Scattered among the new art there were some by the masters. I am especially fond of Chagall and will add a few.
I find his play with colors and the whimsy he sees as light hearted and joyful.

This is a large, pieced together, cardboard canvas, and some of the picture is bare cardboard. Does this say something about our throw away age, and yet this style of art is classic? |
